Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2020

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Finance was Deputy Minister Gergely Orencsak, who brought home $357,808.62 in 2019.

Following Gergely Orencsak was Associate Deputy Minister Mahmood Nanji, with annual earnings of $266,385.38. Associate Deputy Minister Michael Weir made $240,427.85, Associate Deputy Minister Nancy Mudrinic made $233,475.78, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Provincial Local Finance Division Allan Doheny round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $222,439.47 for the Finance 2020 Sunshine List.
