Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2025

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following John Yoo was Professor/Medical Doctor Anthony Tang, with annual earnings of $549,999.96. President and Vice-Chancellor Alan Shepard made $484,000.04, Professor/Medical Doctor Sumit Agrawal made $441,783.18, and Professor Stephen Williamson round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $434,784.96 for the University Of Western Ontario 2025 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2024, 258 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 605 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 655 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 219 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 79 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 58 received over $300,000 at the University Of Western Ontario.
