Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2023

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Securities Commission was Chief Executive Officer / Chef de la direction David G. Vingoe, who brought home $697,464.92 in 2022.

Following David G. Vingoe was Chief Adjudicator / Arbitre en chef Timothy Moseley, with annual earnings of $546,952.95. Executive Director / Directrice générale Leslie Byberg made $450,642.41, Chief Administrative Officer / Chef de l’administration Deana Djurdjevic made $449,321.50, and Executive Director / Directeur général S. Sonny Randhawa round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $394,686.26 for the Ontario Securities Commission 2023 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2022, 44 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 151 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 116 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 67 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 28 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 15 received over $300,000 at the Ontario Securities Commission.
