Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Colin Patey was Chief Operating Officer Sarah Padfield, with annual earnings of $191,057.40. Vice-President and Chief Nursing Executive Wilma Kirenko made $166,570.20, Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive Patricia Morka made $139,077.89, and Registered Nurse Tammy Toth round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $136,413.45 for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance 2015 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2014, 34 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 29 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 2 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
