The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Every year, the Ontario government publishes its annual Sunshine List of public sector servants with six-figure salaries. According to the document, Atura's 118 staffers made the Sunshine List, earning total compensation of $20,441,385.99 in 2022.

Topping the list for the Atura was Director Energy Management Thomas Patterson, who brought home $343,570.32 in 2022.

Following Thomas Patterson was Director Operations Paul Bronowicki, with annual earnings of $317,899.45. Plant Manager Neil Finnerty made $268,837.69, Plant Manager Tom Fletcher made $248,976.93, and Director Asset Management Kyle Johnstone round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $240,381.12 for the Atura 2023 Sunshine List.
