Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2016

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Franco Vaccarino was Professor & Past President Alastair Summerlee, with annual earnings of $339,081.64. Past Provost & Vice-President, Academic Maureen Mancuso made $318,956.12, Vice-President, Finance, Administration & Risk Donald O'Leary made $264,144.48, and Professor & Canada Research Chair Paul Hebert round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $246,289.96 for the University of Guelph 2016 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2015, 87 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 429 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 282 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 28 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 3 received over $300,000 at the University of Guelph.
