Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2016

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the University Health Network was President & Chief Executive Officer Peter Pisters, who brought home $622,154.00 in 2015.

Following Peter Pisters was Surgeon-In-Chief Shaf Keshavjee, with annual earnings of $511,093.40. Director, Radiation Medicine Maria Gospodarowicz made $456,164.80, Executive Vice President Christopher J. Paige made $448,397.77, and Director, Radiation Medicine Fei-Fei Liu round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $429,852.80 for the University Health Network 2016 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2015, 378 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 283 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 55 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 19 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 20 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 55 received over $300,000 at the University Health Network.
