Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Kenneth Leendertse was City Manager Christopher Murray, with annual earnings of $256,075.80. Medical Officer of Health Elizabeth Richardson made $246,163.60, Chief Of Police Glenn De Caire made $228,519.20, and Associate Medical Officer of Health Ninh Tran round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $207,989.87 for the City of Hamilton 2015 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2014, 443 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 492 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 33 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 3 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 2 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the City of Hamilton.
